FarmWeigh Shipping Container Weigh Scales
FarmWeigh’s Shipping Container Weighing System is designed specifically for that purpose. Whether it is to batch weigh product into the container or to check the weights as it is being loaded the FarmWeigh system will ensure you have correct weight.
System Description
The weighing platform is made up of two weigh beams each with two 12,000kg stainless steel, hermetically sealed loadcells. This provides a total gross capacity of 48,000kg. (The option of 20,000kg loadcells with a gross capacity of 80,000kg is also available) between these two beams runs a locator-tube to ensure they are set at correct distance apart and also as a conduit for loadcell cables.
The container is placed on the beams and the weight is recorded through a range of indicator and/or software options. The software options vary according to the application and are designed to meet the specific needs of that customer.
The weighing system is built to withstand the most demanding workloads and harshest environments making it ideal for mining and agricultural applications.
Installation is extremely easy and there is no requirement for on-site calibration and expensive test weight hire, as the system is factory calibrated.
Digital indicator provides real time weight info and setpoint outputs to provide visiual indication of load requirements or integration with a control system to automatically stop the filling process.
Applications
Container filling with the container on the weigh system to ensure maximum load capacities are reached without overloading providing logistical efficiency and protecting against potential safety breach consequences. The system can allow for batching if the container is to be filled automatically and turn off the fill once the desired weight is reached or manually if loading in using a forklift or front-end loader. In the case of the manual filling a visual or audible alarm can be activated when the desired weight is achieved.
Check weighing and recording containers when they are received or being shipped out with a range of options including the Ton-Tel software package, which operates in a similar manner to a weighbridge program. Various printer options are also available if required. The system does need an operator to function as the software in the indicator automatically senses the weight when it is placed on the weigh platform and records is quickly once stable weight is achieved, and then records and/or prints the transaction once the container is removed.
A two colour alarm system can also be used to indicate that the container is loaded within it’s weight tolerance or outside that tolerance ensuring they are not overloaded causing costly re-handling and potential exorbitant fines for breaches of safety regulations.
